Happy New Year everyone and thanks for
all your support for Kate over the past year.2009 proved to be yet another busy year that saw Kate tour
to New Zealand, Australia, USA, Holland, Germany and Switzerland with a variety of music
projects. The year closed with a sell-out success for an expanded Jez Lowe and the Bad
Pennies, collaborating with Badapple Theatre to present 'Geordie's Winter Almanac Radio
Raoadshow', a new themed performance from Jez Lowe with special guests Andrew Cadie and
Benny Graham. The final performance at the prestigious The Sage Gateshead was a sell-out
and the whole team were delighted with the audience response!
On the theatre side Kate's latest play 'The
Land Girls of Yorkshire' was a huge hit this summer, on it's own sell out tour across
North and East Yorkshire in 2009 as part of Badapple Theatre's pioneering 'Theatre on Your
Doorstep' programme. Such was the success of the new comedy that Badapple will be touring
it again in 2010 and already have a record NINE weeks of performances booked in! See www.badappletheatre.com for all the info.
Many of of you have been asking us when
Kate will be releasing a new album... and I'm afraid we have no news yet! We have seen a
few new songs creeping in to her festival and solo sets but Tantobie Records are remaining
tight-lipped about the prospect of a new release... we'll let you know as soon as we do!
