"Welcome to the Drover's Arms, Darrowby!" It's wartime in Darrowby but everyone is is still making the best of it! Join Tom the barman in the heartof the Yorkshire Dales as he plays host to the regulars that gather together to catchup on the local news and gossip. The new vet come down from Glasgow is struggling to find his feet, and his ears must be burning as still the seasons roll on... Badapple Theatre's gentle new comedy celebrates the early years and familiar stories of the most famous of Yorkshire vets, James Herriot, reliving hilarious and touching encounters as the young man finds himself enchanted by the land and the locals. This upbeat new play sees the stories of All Creatures Great and Small brought to life on stage for the first time, made possible by the kind permission of the family of the author, the late Alf Wight.
